New center for alternatives to animal experiments to be established in Berlin

The senate of the state of Berlin has voted to increase its funding of science by € 764 million. This includes the funding of a center for the development of alternatives to animal experiments, which will be run as a cooperation between the universities of Berlin and the Max-Delbrück-Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC), with € 8.6 million as reported by the Berliner Morgenpost on January 17, 2018.
