The NGO Doctors Against Animal Experiments (Ärzte gegen Tierversuche e.V.) announces the 2023 Herbert Stiller Research Grant to support animal-free research.
We welcome grant applications for original, human-relevant projects in the medical or biomedical field, including human-based in vitro models, in silico analyses or clinical and epidemiological studies. The proposals should aim to significantly advance medical progress and contribute to the elimination of animal experimentation (reduction and refinement projects are not accepted).
The projects should not be supported by other third-party funding. Applicants should identify with DAAE’s principles and goals, this means the abolition of all animal experiments and testing on ethical and scientific grounds.
All methods and consumables used within the project must be of animal-free origin. The project duration should not exceed 2 years. The funding amounts to €20.000.
Researchers from Germany and other German-speaking countries, who have not received the Herbert Stiller Research Grant in the last 4 years, are invited to submit t heir applications in German or English. Application details and eligibility criteria are given at www.herbert-stiller-preis.de.
